Before making my developments in the darkroom, I first had to start by creating a digital negative as seen in this photo.

To create this, I used adobe photoshop to invert one of my chosen images. 

Then by taking these into the darkroom, i used a small piece of photographic paper and placed my chosen image onto this but only so approximately leaving a 2cm gap from the top. 

Then I exposed the paper for 2 seconds whilst moving the paper down each time. 

 

After leaving the photograph in the developer and fix, it became a digital negative.
